| The Basics |
The basics include a domain name and e-mail
address. Every company should have these today. You do
not need a web site to utilize a domain name and e-mail
address.
Domain names and e-mail address should be treated as separate
functions or units. The domain is a product, and the e-mail
using that domain name is a service. We allow you to purchase
and manage the domain name separately and on it's own.
You are never tied to our services by purchasing a domain
name.
The first thing to do is purchase
a domain name through Sitewarehouse. By default, this
will be set
up so we can
add services as you require. The domain name will be
yours to use and considered it's own purchase.
The second thing would be to open a hosting
account. Hosting accounts offer e-mail service within the
plan (and many other things), this can
be done at Sitewarehouse as well.
When you sign-up for the hosting account, you simply
put in
your domain name that you just purchased when
prompted. We then automatically setup the right folders
on our servers and you will receive a link to a web
based control panel where you will go in and setup
your email
address(s). If you already have a domain name, click

The third thing will be to setup your
e-mail client to be able to download and send e-mail
messages from the address
you created. We have an extensive help library to explain
how to do this for most client software. It's EASY.
